Highschool Librarian
I began teaching at Decatur School District in August of 2017 after completing my undergraduate studies at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR. Currently, I am beginning my third year of teaching at Decatur where I am the High School Library Media Specialist and Junior High Agriculture teacher. I also co-advise the Decatur FFA chapter, and am the sponsor for both the Sophomore Class and Yearbook Club.
When I’m not teachng, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places! My favorite trips have been when I got the oportunities to travel to New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, and Louisville college. Recently, I returned from a ten day study abroad trip to Costa Rica, where I toured different regions of the country checking out their agricultural practices and experiencing Latin American culture.
I also enjoy reading and learning in my downtime, as well as watching movies and attending plays and musicals. This summer I had the opportunity to experience the United States Tour of Lés Miserables at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, and a local production of Annie at the Arkansas Public Theater in Rogers, AR!
