DECATUR

I am new to the Decatur School District this school year 2023-24. I am super excited to be part of the Bulldog Community. I will be teaching at Decatur Pre-K.

Before moving to Bella Vista I lived in San Diego, CA my whole life. I taught at San Diego Unified for 29 years. Most of those years were teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten. I have always loved working with the youngest learners. Earlier in life I taught Preschool Vacation Bible School in high school and Sunday school while in college. Teaching has always been part of my life.

I have been happily married since 1994 to the love of my life and best friend, Jeff. We have two children, Molly and Jimmy. Jeff is a native Arkansan, but we have lived most of our married life in San Diego, CA. Both children were born and raised in San Diego, CA as was I. We have two dogs, Jack and Annie. All of us moved to Bella Vista in 2022.

My family and I enjoy weekend exploring around Arkansas and Southern Missouri. I am also an avid reader. You may also catch me volunteering at Care and Share on Saturdays once a month. I also volunteer with my church on various projects. My family and I live in Bella Vista where we share the woods with deer, birds, raccoons, squirrels and other mystery animals. My husband, mother, daughter and son keep me hopping. I love teaching early learners. I have taught for 30 years. Over 28 of those years have been teaching Kindergarten or Pre-K. I am so excited to be teaching in Decatur.
