DECATUR

I began my teaching career in Decatur in the fall of 1987, I taught fourth grade for 17 years, then I taught third grade for a couple of years. My next teaching adventure was in fifth and sixth grades. Next, I taught just fifth grade for five years. then fourth and presently I am teaching third grade. This all adds up to be 31 great years in Decatur. 

I did my student teaching in Rogers, Public Schools. I worked as a sub. in Bentonville Public Schools during the years I attented the U of A.I graduated in December, I took on two long term sub. jobs in Bentonville . This was some of the best experience I obtained.

I have two amazing children, Marcus and Lynlee. They both attended school in Decatur with me. Marcus earned his PHD in history and is currently teaching in Conway, Ar. at U.C.A. Lynlee received her Bachelors degree in business and currenly works at Houston Weather and Aeronotics. She is now attending Veternarin School. I have three pets, a dog, Lady,. Two cats, Tiggy and Phebs.

My hobbies/interests include arts and crafts, researching my ancestory, painting, restoring old furniture ,hiking with family and reading a great book! Those are the things I do when not teaching .
