Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Parkview High School in Little Rock in 1988. I recieved my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education in 2012 from the University of Arkansas. I recieved my first Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014 also from the University of Arkansas. My second Master’s Degree is my M.A.T in English and Science which I recieved from Harding University in 2016. I also have my ESL endorsement that I have just completed in the summer of 2019.

Current Position:

This is my second year with the Decatur School District. I have been a substitute teacher in the Bentonville and Roger’s School Districts for 9 years.

Family Information:

I was married for 19 years and am a single mom of two daughters. My oldest daughter is 23 yrs. old and the other is 19yrs. old. My oldest daughter graduated in the spring of 2023 from the University of Arkansas and my other daughter also graduated from Bentonville High School in the spring of 2023. We presently reside in in Bentonville where we have lived for 4 yrs.

Personal Information:

I love to cook and bake and try out new and different recipes. I enjoy spicy foods and could eat Mexican food literally every day of the week. I enjoy the being outdoors and spending my summers at the pool. In my spare time I like to restore antique furniture and spend time with family and friends.
